SnowTrails TV has just finished riding around the Gaspe Penninsula in Quebec. If you like to ride flat, fast trails then this is not for you. The trails start at sea level and will rise to over 1,600 feet overlooking the St. Lawrence Seaway on one side and beautiful mountains on the other side. After riding the ridge lines the trails will then be winding back down to a coastal community that has a very European flavor. Daily elevation changes would average 20,000 feet. I can’t hardly wait to get some preview video of next season posted. It is a trip of a lifetime that will be well worth the planning and travel to get to this region. We have our schedule which may be a good one for follow. Can’t wait to get back to the Gaspe.

Today is Jan. 30, 2007. I’ve been with in Michigan’s UP all week with a group from snowmobileworld.com
It is good online community of avid snowmobilers and use the site to share pictures, exchange tech tips and plan rides together. New folks are always welcome. Riding in Munising and the trails are great. Just had blizzard last night that dumped good deep fresh powder snow in some places. Everywhere got a few inches.
Inspite of the warm up and rain at the beginning of the week the trails have help up and getting in better shape. Good Conditions I would say right now. This weekend I head to Sault Ste Marie for the I-500 snowmobile race. A good new season of SnowTrailsTV is coming together.
Peace on the Trails,

After going to the Novi, MI. snowmobile show I learned many people think that we get paid by PBS to produce SnowTrails TV. This is NOT true… We pay PBS for the distribution each year. It is not cheap to buy satellite time. Additionally the program is commercial free. Please consider being a partner with the Tour Pass.

For several years the OTMPC (Ontario Tourism and Marketing Partnership Corp.) has supported SnowTrailsTV financially, buying underwriting credits in the program. I really have to give them thanks, the OTMPC major funding has made STTV programs possible to make it the 5th seasons broadcat. This season there is no funding support from Ontario Tourism for SnowTrails TV. We now have to find another way to pay for the production of SnowTrails TV. Perhaps the Tour Pass?
